Ric Flair publicly apologized to WWE star Ludwig Kaiser on Monday, seeking to defuse the controversy sparked by his recent interview comments. The wrestling legend claimed, while speaking to Ariel Helwani, that he threatened to beat up Kaiser and was therefore banned from attending WrestleMania. Still, Flair has now clarified on X that he never doubted Kaiser’s in-ring talent, instead praising the German wrestler’s abilities while expressing regret for the personal remarks made in the heat of the moment due to his instincts as a protective father.
What began as a 2025 WWE storyline escalated into real-life family drama when Tiffany Stratton mocked Charlotte Flair’s divorces in a heated SmackDown promo. Charlotte responded by claiming Kaiser had slid into her DMs, prompting the German to mock the idea that he was interested in her. An outraged Ric Flair then called the 35-year-old German wrestler and threatened to “beat the shit out of you,” with Kaiser reporting the call to Triple H, leading to Flair becoming persona non grata with WWE.
