Leading up to WrestleMania 41, the feud between Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton appeared to become all too real after both women deviated from the script during a live segment on SmackDown. For those who missed it, Flair would make fun of Stratton’s voice and claimed her boyfriend, Ludwig Kaiser, had been sliding into her DMs, while Stratton mocked Flair’s multiple divorces.
And now, Charlotte’s legendary father Ric Flair has addressed this controversial segment while being interviewed by Ariel Helwani, calling it “the cheapest shot I’ve ever heard in my life.“
"That was the cheapest shot I've ever heard in my life... It was hurtful, and if it was a shoot, that's even worse. That's not something to joke about."[/su_quote]After the segment went viral online, WWE quickly removed it from all of its social media platforms, with it unknown whether this was at the request of Flair or simply because management recognized it wasn’t a good look. Subsequently, Charlotte would reveal in an article written for ThePlayersTribune.com that the divorce comment genuinely “rocked” her because she didn’t anticipate it, explaining that in her mind, Ashley Fliehr has been divorced three times, but not the Charlotte Flair character.
