WWE superstar Rhea Ripley recently appeared on comedian Kevin Hart’s “Cold As Balls” podcast, and she shouted out metal band Suicide Silence. Ripley said: “Growing up, I always listened to heavy music,” and she then name-dropped the band. Ripley’s stomp during her entrance is actually a tribute to the band’s late lead vocalist, Mitch Lucker, who passed away in 2012.
The band reacted to the clip on their own podcast. “She’s shouted us out in at least five interviews,” bassist Danny Kenny said as the group watched Ripley’s clip. “She always does Mitch’s stomp every single match before she comes out.” Drummer Ernie Iniguez added: “She’s got the form down. She teaches it and everything. Yo, that’s so good.”
Singer Hernan Hermida thanked Ripley for the love. “Thank you for the shout‑outs, Rhea,” he said. “You’re the best. My parents love you. We sent her a box of merch, and she was so grateful. She said, ‘That was the coolest thing.’ You’re welcome. Let’s rock her on stage someday.”
