People Power Is Back As John Laurinaitis Returns To Public Life

John Laurinaitis, who was previously WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, has announced on social media that he will be making his first public appearance since being named in Janel Grant’s 2024 lawsuit. Laurinaitis had previously been booked for a similar appearance two years ago, but it was cancelled within hours due to fan backlash. However, it appears those putting on next month’s Big Time Wrestling’s March Mayhem event in Chillicothe, Ohio, are unconcerned about negative publicity.

63-year-old Laurinaitis initially wrestled as Johnny Ace in 1986 and achieved modest success in WCW as part of The Dynamic Dudes with Shane Douglas and in All Japan Pro Wrestling alongside Kenta Kobashi. Retiring from the ring full-time in 2000, he would begin working as a producer in WCW before moving to WWE, where he quickly rose through the management ranks. Additionally, he briefly performed on-screen as General Manager of Raw and SmackDown before returning backstage as a producer until his 2022 firing.
