Since joining AEW in 2021, Paul Wight, best known to fans worldwide as Big Show, has only wrestled seven times, and one of those was unaired, having taken place on Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea cruise. Therefore, with it known that he has been dealing with injuries, having wrestled for three decades, many fans have begun to accept that his time in the ring might be over.
However, during an appearance on Not Sam Live, the beloved wrestler declared that despite undergoing multiple surgeries, he isn’t planning on retiring, as it’s just a matter of getting his “sh*t together.”
53-year-old Wight began his wrestling career in 1995 for WCW as The Giant and won their world championship in his debut match against Hulk Hogan. Yet, despite being one of the few younger talents pushed into WCW’s main event scene, he still opted to depart the company when his contract expired, opting to sign with WWE in 1999. And while it was thought that he was a WWE lifer, having worked for Vince McMahon’s company for so long, he would stun the pro wrestling world when he decided to become All Elite.
