Rapper Kanye West recently shared an extremely controversial tweet saying he was “going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE,” and also that, “You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.” The tweet has since been removed by Twitter, and West has been temporarily locked out of both his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Adidas said Thursday that it was placing its lucrative sneaker deal with West under review. And on Saturday, Instagram locked out posts by the rapper-entrepreneur over content violations. His Twitter account was locked Sunday, just a day after he returned to the platform following a nearly two-year hiatus and was welcomed back by Elon Musk.

KISS frontman Paul Stanley, who is Jewish, addressed West’s recent comments by posting: “Mental Illness IS a disease but should NEVER be used to minimize the danger of hate speech, advocating anti-semitism and violence against religions or ethnicities. We have found ways over centuries to rationalize this  behavior and viewed the atrocities that followed. SPEAK UP!”

Other high-profile figures in the music industry also responded to West’s controversial comments. Grammy-winning songwriter Diane Warren called for him to be “banned for life everywhere.”

“Also a little reminder Kanye, using the word death and Jews in the same sentence when 6,000,000 Jews were murdered, 2 out of 3 European Jews, is vile abhorrent and irresponsible,” Warren tweeted.

Disturbed frontman David Draiman, who is also Jewish, weighed in saying: “Between @joerogan not calling @rogerwaters out on his antisemitic bullshit, @kanyewest going on an antisemitic rant, and then @elonmusk congratulating his friend (Kanye) on his @twitter reinstatement, it’s been a rough week for us Jews. #Antisemitism”.

KISS bassist Gene Simmons commented on West earlier this year saying he could “use a good b*tch slap” for being an “a—hole” to ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian and her then-boyfriend Pete Davidson.

“It’s serious stuff. This is your wife, the mother of your children,” Simmons continued. “It’s not childish. There’s something clinically wrong with him, as he’s admitted. It’s a psychological problem.”
