Part Of Tony Khan’s Inner Circle Has Reportedly Stepped Back From Their AEW Duties

If you follow backstage wrestling news, you’ve very likely heard of AEW’s Chief Legal Officer Megha Parekh, as she is part of Tony Khan’s inner circle and made headlines when she wrote to WWE’s Nick Khan about WWE’s alleged contract tampering. However, it has now been reported by Fightful Select that, as of late, she has stepped back from her AEW duties, with Chris Peck picking up many of her responsibilities. Why this is currently remains unknown.

“Fightful has learned that AEW Chief Legal Officer has largely stepped back from her AEW duties over the last few months. While we haven’t learned if there’s been an official job title change or adjustment there, Chris Peck has largely taken over many of the things Megha Parekh was doing in the company.”

Parekh joined the Jaguars as vice president and general counsel in 2013 before being promoted to her current position in 2016. Before that, she worked in the New York office of an international law firm after graduating from Harvard College and Harvard Law School. Additionaly, verifying her status as a top legal expert, she was named by Sports Business Journal in their 40 Under 40 list in 2018 and also named an Ultimate Attorney in 2016 and 2020.
