Ozzy Osbourne’s 2023 Tour In Doubt Due To Health Concerns

Ozzy Osbourne has a UK/European tour scheduled for the Spring of 2023. While “The Prince of Darkness” has enjoyed a career resurgence of sorts by scoring his first-ever career back-to-back No. 1 singles at rock radio from his latest album, “Patient Number 9,” his recent health struggles have been well documented.

Ozzy had major neck surgery earlier this year, and that came on the heels of the news that he has had an ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease. In 2019, he caught pneumonia and suffered a serious fall at his house that dislodged previously-inserted metal rods in his back.

Now, Ozzy has put his future touring plans in doubt by revealing that he is still struggling to walk.

“It is so f*cking tough because, I mean, I want to be out there,” he said on his SiriusXM channel, Ozzy’s Boneyard. “I want to be doing it. This f*cking surgery this guy did. F*cking hell, you have no idea.”

He continued, “The thing is my head is all right, my creativity is OK, my singing OK but I just can’t f*cking walk much now.”

Ozzy continued, “I can’t begin to tell you how f*cking frustrating life has become. It is amazing how you go along in life and one stupid thing can screw everything up for a long time. I have never been ill this long in my life.”

Ozzy did say that the surgery has kept him at least somewhat mobile. “That surgeon told me if I didn’t have the surgery there would be a good chance I would be paralyzed from the neck down.”

Osbourne told Consequence earlier this year: “It’s a very slow recovery. I’m not good at being sick anyway, and it’s too f*cking slow for me. I’ve never been this laid up in my life.”

He did offer some hope, however, by adding: “I’m determined to get back on the stage again. I don’t think I’ll be doing f*cking nine-month tours anymore. But I don’t even know myself. Right now, I’m still in recovery, and I have a goal. And my goal is to get back onstage. It’s the driving force in me. I miss my audience. I miss doing gigs. I miss my crew. I miss my band. I miss the whole thing.”
