In joyful news, NXT’s current North American Champion, Tony D’Angelo, has taken to social media to announce that he has tied the knot with his long-term partner, Isabella Borini. According to Zola.com, the University at Buffalo graduates had an intimate ceremony on Wednesday, going on to celebrate with their closest family and friends at Fresco Cucina Italiana in the evening.
29-year-old D’Angelo, real name Joseph Ariola, broke into the business in 2019 via POWW in Illinois, and with that experience and having been a collegiate wrestler, he would sign for WWE in 2021. Subsequently, he was introduced to fans with a mafia gimmick, which saw him establish his own stable and become a prominent part of NXT. And while he isn’t yet considered a great in-ring performer, thanks to his character works, it’s expected that he’ll be called up to the main roster sooner rather than later.
