Guitar virtuoso Nita Strauss married her longtime manager and drummer Josh Villalta in a star-studded affair two years ago. The ceremony was officiated by wrestling legend Mick Foley, and Alice Cooper, Demi Lovato and Disturbed frontman David Draiman were among the 120 or so in attendance.
On New Year’s Day, Strauss and Villalta took to social media to announce that they’re expecting their first child together later this year. “Looks like 2026 will be the best year yet,” read a post accompanied by photos of the pair holding a sonogram and baby shoes. “We’ve waited so long for this miracle and now the time is finally here! He will come into this world surrounded by so much love! So excited to meet our little man this summer”.
Strauss and Villalta met in 2011, and the guitarist praised her husband on Instagram last year. “When people post about relationships, myself included, we always tend to focus on the great times,” she wrote. “Which makes a lot of sense! It’s natural to put your best and brightest side forward on social media. What doesn’t always get posted are moments like the second one. I have found myself struggling a lot lately. And it’s especially in those moments that I am so grateful to have @thejoshv as a partner. You all know how strong he is just by looking at him, but what you don’t see on the outside is how strong he is mentally …”
She continued: “Every day is Valentine’s Day with you. I can’t wait for a lifetime together from morning gym sessions to after show deep dish pizza, from traveling around the world to sleeping in our bed, and knowing that wherever you are will always be home. I love you!”
