Murder Of Former NXT Wrestler Just Took A Jaw-Dropping Turn

Earlier this year, it was reported that Kevin Nikel, who worked in NXT under the name Knuckles Madsen from 2012 to 2013, had tragically died after being shot in the stomach. And now, in news that can only be described as shocking, it has been reported by RingsideNews.com that his ex-wife, Amanda Penny, and her new partner, Michael Hogue, have been arrested for his murder.

“On November 17, 2025, U.S. Marshals arrested Michael Hogue for 1st Degree Murder and Amanda Penny, Nikel’s ex-wife, for Accomplice to Murder in the 1st Degree. Both also face additional weapons charges … Authorities say Nikel was shot and killed in the Beaver Shores area near Rogers, just days after his divorce from Penny was finalized. Prosecutors believe he may have been lured into a confrontation.”Ringside News

Nikel broke into the business back in 2007, initially working on indie shows in Tennessee. From there, he would catch WWE’s attention and got to wrestle in NXT, sharing a ring with future main roster talents such as Rusev and Baron Corbin. Still, it wouldn’t work out for him at the time, and he would depart the company, although he remained in the business, competing as Ivan Warsaw.
