Earlier this year, Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil was caught lip-synching during a performance of the band’s classic tune, “Same Ol’ Situation.”

Neil is shown in a video clip leading the audience to a singalong of the song’s chorus. He picks up the mic and points it at the crowd while his lead vocal track from the original song clearly keeps playing.

A main point of contention in former Crüe guitarist’s Mick Mars lawsuit against the band was that Mötley Crüe largely performed to pre-recorded tracks, which the band denied and even blasted a fan on social media who also made the accusation.

Mötley Crüe recently played Hellfest, and another video has surfaced of Neil on stage as vocal lines play and the microphone is nowhere near his mouth. The video is of the band performing “The Dirt,” and Machine Gun Kelly guested on stage for the performance. The vocal track is also pitch perfect and sounds just like the recording.

Among the loudest critics of Mötley Crüe is L.A. Guns singer Phil Lewis, who blasted the band in a recent interview. L.A. Guns guitarist Tracii Guns also re-tweeted the video of Vince Neil’s initial lip-synching performance with the caption, “Oh FFS.”

Lewis said of Mötley Crüe: “I mean, they’d probably sound like utter sh*t if they were live, with the big stadium and the big lights and Vince singing in the way that we’ve come to know and love. They really are a f*cking atrocious band; they always have been. And the only good player, the only good one in the band, has been very unceremoniously dismissed.”
