Earlier today, WWE commenced a round of mass layoffs by letting Mustafa Ali, Dolph Ziggler, Shelton Benjamin, Riddick Moss, Emma, Aliyah, Rick Boogs, Top Dolla, and Elias all out of their contracts. And while it was anticipated there would be some NXT releases to follow, it was thought main roster talents were safe for now. However, that wasn’t the case, as PWInsider.com has reported that Mace (ma.çé), Mansoor (mån.sôör), and Shanky have also been deemed surplus to requirements.
As of writing, five NXT releases have become public knowledge, with Dana Brooke, Dabba-Kato, Yulisa Leon, Bryson Montana, and Quincy Elliott named. That, though, could be the tip of the iceberg, and Web Is Jericho will continue to follow that story as it develops.
