MJF Shares Concerning Update Regarding The Full Extent Of His Injuries

MJF is set to defend the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe at Worlds End this Saturday, and if you believe his and Tony Khan’s claim about his contract situation, it could very well be his final match for the promotion. And now, in a column he has penned for The Players Tribune, the Salt of the Earth has opened up on his time in AEW and, in the process, revealed the full extent of his current injury status.

“I’m just so, so, so tired. That’s the God’s honest truth. My hip is a mess. My arm won’t lift above my head. I’m on painkillers, which are not my thing. I can’t sleep.”

Coming out of AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view event last month, it was reported that MJF was hurt during his match with Jay White. Subsequently, it would be revealed he had suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder. However, due to his AEW commitments and old-school mindset, he has decided not to have surgery and instead has been receiving stem cell therapy and focusing on rehab to at least get him through his match with Joe.
