AEW made its debut south of the border with Grand Slam Mexico on June 18, which featured MJF vs. Místico in one of the show’s most highly anticipated matches. This would see heat-machine MJF fully embrace his heel persona by waving the American Flag, flipping off the crowd, and wearing patriotic red, white, and blue ring gear, although he would ultimately lose the match due to disqualification.

And now proving their rivalry is far over, MJF has returned to MLW, where Místico also works, and blindsided the luchador with a low blow during their Summer of the BEASTS event. Therefore, the big question is now, will the two stars wrestle again at next month’s All In: Texas or wait for Forbidden Door in August?

For those unaware, MJF worked for MLW between 2017 and 2020 before joining AEW, where he put over names such as Jimmy Havoc, Mance Warner, and Teddy Hart, which seems crazy in hindsight. Additionally, he was part of the Dynasty stable alongside Richard Holliday, Alexander Hammerstone, and Gino Medina, leading to him winning the MLW World Tag Team Championships.
