Miro debuted on Dynamite on September 9th, 2020, as Kip Sabian’s best man. Since then, he has been feuding with Best Friends and Orange Cassidy in a midcard angle. Despite being undefeated, several fans have questioned AEW’s booking of the former Rusev, feeling he should have been positioned as a main eventer from the off. Now speaking on his Twitch channel, he has guaranteed fans he’ll become AEW World Heavyweight Champion or retire.
Tony Khan has previously started that AEW is currently rebuilding Miro as WWE hadn’t treated him as a star in years. He’d expressly state that the wrestler who entered in a tank at WrestleMania wasn’t the performer he had signed with AEW. Despite initially being pushed by WWE, Miro would move down the pecking order after his program with Jon Cena. The low point of his career came when he was booked in an angle with Lashley that saw his wife Lana leave him. Miro went along with the storyline because he was initially told he would main event WrestleMania 36, which obviously never happened. In fact, Miro wouldn’t wrestle on the show and was released a few weeks after it took place.
