Mickie James, known widely for helping to revolutionize the standing of women in the wrestling business via her influential runs with WWE, TNA and the NWA, has also had an impressive music career. James has released two studio albums, several singles/videos and has shared the stage with country stars including Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry and Gretchen Wilson, among others. She also performed at the CMA Music Festival in 2011 and 2013.
James is a longtime friend of former TNA interviewer/manager Goldy Locks. Goldy also fronts The Goldy Locks Band, a primarily rock outfit with several accolades of their own including appearing on shows and/or tours with Pink, Stevie Nicks, 3 Doors Down, Pat Benetar, Maroon 5 and others. James and country rap duo The Lacs are special guests on the new track from The Goldy Locks Band, “I Didn’t Know.”
James and Goldy also appeared on SiriusXM Busted Open to promote the song, and James was asked if going into the WWE Hall Of Fame is something that’s on her mind. “I don’t like to think about it, honestly,” James admitted. “‘Cause then what if it doesn’t happen? I’d never be disappointed, right?”
Goldy added, “I am,” before James continued: “Because I feel like there’s a long list of people that can and will go into the Hall Of Fame. And I feel like I will hopefully go in one day, you know? But I don’t want to think about it. I don’t want to jinx it. Because what if it doesn’t happen? Hopefully while I’m still on this side of the earth, that would be cool.”
