Ozzy Osbourne’s new album, “Patient Number 9” was released on Friday. So far the album has spawned three singles — the title track featuring Jeff Beck, “Degradation Rules” featuring Tony Iommi, and the ballad “Nothing Feels Right” featuring Zakk Wylde. To celebrate the release, Ozzy performed at halftime of the Los Angeles Rams/Buffalo Bills game Thursday night, but many fans are furious that NBC barely showed any of the two-song set.

Prior to cutting to a commercial break after the first half, NBC teased that the metal legend would be featured when programming resumed. NBC showed about 15 seconds of Ozzy performing “Patient Number 9.” Footage from the set has come out online featuring the full tracks (with pro-shot footage to come soon) as well as Ozzy performing “Crazy Train,” but fans weren’t about to let NBC off the hook for the minimal coverage.

Sirius XM DJ and rock ambassador Eddie Trunk tweeted: “Thx @SNFonNBC for that very generous 8 seconds of Ozzy…”

“What a rip!” wrote one fan. “They advertise Rock Legend Ozzy kicking off 2022 Football season…then they don’t even televise the performance. WTF!  They play Crazy Train 50 times in every game, but when they have the man LIVE…NOTHING! NFL are posers!” Another fan wrote: “What the f*ck was the point of even having Ozzy play at the half time game for the opening of the season when they literally showed him for home viewers for like 15 seconds. Are you kidding..?”

DJ Will from KNAC in Los Angeles said the full performance would be featured on YouTube sometime over the weekend. “FULL PERFORMANCE Will be on YouTube in the next day or two,” he tweeted. “With sponsored commercials that’s the most that was going to be televised the new song is four minutes and change and crazy train is also lengthy. The stage was designed to be assembled in five pieces local 33 God bless them at not one not two but 10 rehearsals to roll that thing out with a small window of time.”

For “Patient Number 9,” Ozzy was supported by producer Andrew Watt (guitar), Chris Chaney (bass) and Tommy Clufetos (drums). Zakk Wylde later joined the group onstage to play “Crazy Train.”
