Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has been known to voice his opinions from the stage, and he also calls out concertgoers and/or security if he sees something amiss in the audience.
At a show earlier this week in Bloomington, Illinois, Mustaine called out security for allegedly bullying a fan. The incident happened during what is arguably Megadeth’s most well-known song, “Symphony Of Destruction.”
“I’m not gonna play anymore until those guys are escorted out of the building, so just hang on a second,” Mustaine told the audience after the group stopped playing.
Mustaine then spoke directly to a group of security guards.
“That was so f*ckin’ unnecessary,” he said. “That was so f*ckin’ unnecessary, you guys. You’re supposed to make… What’s on the back of your shirt? Safety? It should say, ‘No F*ckin Safety’, because you guys are punks, and you shouldn’t have f*ckin hit that guy. Four of you on one guy. What a bunch of p*ssies… Get ’em out of here or I’m leaving. I don’t wanna f*cking hear that they’re in the back. I want them out of here.”
The security guards were then apparently escorted out of the venue before Mustaine concluded: “These motherf*ckers wrecked my song. Sorry, that stuff just makes me so mad. I hate bullies. I f*cking hate bullies.”
