AEW is making its debut in Youngstown, Ohio this Saturday for Collision, and Anthony Bowens gave a wide-ranging interview to Youngstown Studio ahead of the show. One topic he talked about was if The Acclaimed ever got any heat among their peers for Max Caster’s raps which often push the envelope.
For the most part, The Acclaimed’s opponents roll with whatever Caster says, but on a 2021 episode of Dynamite, Jon Moxley didn’t seem to be too enthused. “Call your girl, she all in my mentions, trying to hit me up for some Oral Sessions,” Caster rapped in reference to Moxley’s wife, Renne Paquette, before The Acclaimed faced Moxley and Eddie Kingston.
“The most infamous one was the one with Moxley where Caster brought up Renee and the Oral Sessions podcast,” Bowens said. “Just worded it a little bit differently. I remember hitting the ring and before I yell the city, I yell ‘AEW.’ I think I got A out and Moxley, just like a bus, obliterated me. I had no idea that was coming. I just remember screaming, and the next thing I know, I was on the floor. I don’t think he liked that line.”
Bowens said that Caster doesn’t tell their opponents what he’s going to say in order to garner a genuine reaction. Sometimes Bowens doesn’t even know what’s coming. Watch the full interview with Bowens below.
