Matt Hardy Responds To WWE’s Hardy Boyz Snub

WWE released a video of the top ten loudest reactions in WrestleMania history on Sunday. Included were The Undertaker’s WrestleMania XX return, The Rock and Hulk Hogan facing off, and Daniel Bryan winning the WWE Championship. However, noticeable by its absence was the Hardy Boyz surprise return at WrestleMania 33, and seemingly fans have been tagging Matt Hardy, making him aware of the omission. He would take to Twitter and acknowledge the exclusion which you can read below.

For everyone who’s tweeted me, our WM33 return isn’t included because I’m now at @AEW. I’ve always felt it’s a damaging practice to selectively revise history with diehard fans. You tell me, should our WM33 return be on this list?

It is sad WWE feels the need to play down their own history just because a talent who made them a lot of money is now wrestling for a rival. Of course, this is nothing new, and WWE even removed Deam Ambrose’s name from a Shield debut video due to him being with AEW.

The Hardy Boyz return at WrestleMania was a special moment that few people expected, with even their opponents not knowing until two days before the match. The Hardy Boyz would go from wrestling the Lucha Brothers on Friday to wrestling the Young Bucks in a ladder match on Saturday night to winning the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania on Sunday.
