Marilyn Manson has been in and out of legal issues a lot in the past few years. He’s been accused of assault by numerous women, and more recently he was in court battling a suit from a videographer that alleges the shock rocker blew his nose and spit on her.

Perhaps the most well known of the lawsuits Manson is involved with is his defamation suit against actress Evan Rachel Wood. Wood released a two-part documentary, “Phoenix Rising,” where the actress tells her story of domestic violence and her campaign for justice against Manson.

Last year, a judge dismissed a large portion of Manson’s lawsuit against Wood, and now he’s been ordered to pay the actress’ legal fees of more than $326,000. The amount was awarded to Wood for defending herself against Manson’s claims.

The Associated Press reported last year of the case: “A California judge on Tuesday threw out key sections of Marilyn Manson’s lawsuit against his former fiancee, ‘Westworld’ actor Evan Rachel Wood, claiming she fabricated public allegations that he sexually and physically abused her during their relationship and encouraged other women to do the same.”

“Manson’s suit, filed last year, alleges that Wood and another woman named as a defendant, Illma Gore, defamed Manson, intentionally caused him emotional distress and derailed his career in music, TV and film. It says they used false pretenses, including a phony letter from the FBI, to convince other women to come forward with sexual abuse allegations and coached them on what to say about Manson.”

The only portion of Manson’s case that wasn’t thrown out was his claim that Wood and Gore conspired to hack his computer and make a bogus call to police that brought law enforcement to his home.

Wood’s claims are what ignited multiple other allegations against the shock rocker.
