Malakai Black Takes Aim At Dirtsheets & Says He’ll Be Returning To AEW (w/Video)

It was first made known by Raj Giri of WrestlingInc.com that Malakai Black wanted out of AEW, and subsequently, Fightful reported he’d been granted a conditional release. However, after verifying on Instagram that he did ask for his release, he has now gone live on the platform and announced that he will return to AEW by saying, “I will see you guys in a couple of weeks, maybe a couple of months.

In addition, he would bury the websites and newsletters that spread misinformation about his release and criticized them for saying he signed a five-year deal with AEW. However, as Tony Khan claimed this during an interview with Busted Open, he is seemingly directing his anger at the wrong people in this one instance.

The former WWE star initially looked set to be a massive star in AEW but became less prominent as the weeks and months went by. It was later revealed that he was competing with a back injury that had even led him to contemplate retirement, possibly explaining why he appeared in more multi-man matches. Now though, it seems he is getting the time away from wrestling he wants and hopefully will be returning to AEW in both better physical and mental shape.
