Machine Gun Kelly Doubts Moon Landing

Machine Gun Kelly Doubts Moon Landing

Earlier this year, Machine Gun Kelly said that after his two-album foray into rock, he was done with the genre and returning to rap.

“I’m going to make a rap album for myself,” the singer said. “For no other reason, no point to prove, no chip on my shoulder… If I keep doing things to prove things to people, I’m going to, one, drive myself crazy and, two, not make a good product.”

“I made ‘Tickets’ and ‘Mainstream Sellout’ because I wanted to make them. I need to now also make people miss that sound because Tickets and Mainstream Sellout are companion albums, I don’t think making a third that’s so [similar to those] is going to be exciting unless it’s missed.”

Last weekend, during his AMAs speech after accepting the award for Favorite Rock Artist, MGK responded to his critics from the rock world. Overlooked in that speech was that he also doubted the moon landing.

“There have been some people in the rock community who’ve called me a tourist, but they’re wrong – I’m a rocket man,” he said.

“We weren’t born on the moon but we looked at it and we were curious and then we went there … supposedly. And these last two rock albums, to me, were me going to the moon. I’m not done exploring the universe yet, I’m all genres.”

It’s been an eventful year for the rapper-turned-rocker-turned-rapper which included a warning from high profile members of the vampire community — whatever that is.

Last November, actress Megan Fox revealed her engagement to MGK. She also said that as part of the engagement, they drank each other’s blood.

“In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree,” Fox posted on her Instagram. “We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma. Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes. … and then we drank each other’s blood.”

Belfazaar Ashantison, co-founder of The New Orleans Vampire Association (NOVA), has told the couple to “take proper precautions before drinking their lover’s blood, including testing for potential diseases and blood-borne illnesses.”
