While she was called up to Raw last year, Kiana James only wrestled twice on the show due to suffering a serious knee injury. Yet despite this career setback, it’s known she has been working hard to make a return to the ring. And now, suggesting she could be about to make her SmackDown television debut, Fightful Select has reported she’ll be in attendance at tonight’s show.

“Fightful Select has learned that Kiana James was brought in to Lexington, Kentucky, where Smackdown is being held tonight. We’ve yet to learn if she’s planned for the actual show.”Fightful Select

28-year-old James, real name Kayla Klingensmith, broke into the wrestling business in 2021, with her first official match being for AEW during a Dark taping. In this, the rookie wrestler would compete under the name Xtina Kay and put over The Bunny in a short match. From there, she continued to work enhancement matches for AEW although it would be WWE that signed her and had her wrestling on NXT just two months later.
