Due to a lingering injury, Keith Lee’s highly anticipated match with Swerve Strickland at 2023’s Worlds End had to be pulled at the last minute. However, having undergone surgery, it is now believed to be just a matter of Tony Khan coming up with a storyline reason for the former WWE star to return to television.
Therefore, with All In taking place in Lee’s home state of Texas, some fans had speculated online that the former NXT Champion could be a surprise entrant in the Men’s Casino Gauntlet match. And while that is still possible, if it is the plan, Lee is keeping it to himself, having requested forgiveness via X for his absence.
At one point, 40-year-old Lee was considered a can-not-miss talent in the WWE, and Vince McMahon even told Randy Orton to make him look like a star when they first wrestled. Yet, it’s understood that the disgraced billionaire quickly soured on Lee and sent him to receive additional training, wanting to change what made him stand out in the first place. Then, not long afterward, he was sidelined due to a heart condition, and his WWE career faltered, leading to his eventual release.
