CM Punk has long used the Living Colour classic “Cult Of Personality” as his entrance music. When he made his surprising WWE return a few months ago, he used a revamped version of the song that the band released just prior to his appearance.

Punk made his televised return to the company at last weekend’s Royal Rumble, but sadly tore his triceps which will require surgery. He’s expected to miss at least 4-6 months of action including in-ring competition at Wrestlemania.

Punk previously revealed that the reason he uses the song is that it was his little league baseball team’s theme song. “The thing with CM Punk was a very personal thing for him,” said Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid. “His little league team used to use that music. He had a connection to it from when he was real young.”

At the band’s show on Wednesday in Roanoke, Virginia, singer Corey Glover sent a shoutout to Punk wishing him a speedy recovery. The video can be viewed below.

Living Colour also tweeted after Punk’s injury: “Sending love and healing vibes to our homie @CMPunk #CMPunk #WWE #CultOfPersonality #LivingColour”
