Live Music Performance Set For Summerslam

Live Music Performance Set For Summerslam

A few weeks back, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque announced that chart-topping country/rock artist Jelly Roll would provide the official theme for this year’s Summerslam. The annual flagship WWE event takes place Saturday in Cleveland.

Two of Jelly Roll’s tracks, “Dead End Road” and “Liar,” will be featured as part of the show. “Excited to have my friend Jelly Roll back with two official #SummerSlam theme songs: ‘Dead End Road’ off Twisters: The Album, and ‘Liar’ off his album coming this fall,” Triple H shared via X, adding “btw, @JellyRoll615 – let me know if you’re free on Aug. 3 to play a few songs for the @WWEUniverse.”

Jelly Roll replied: “Sounds like a good time to me, Bubba! I’ll have my people call your people!”

The WWE made the performance official on Friday announcing: “See @JellyRoll615 perform his latest single “Liar” tomorrow night LIVE at the Biggest Event of the Summer! “Liar” by Jelly Roll is an Official Theme Song of #SummerSlam!”

Summerslam isn’t the first interaction Jelly Roll has had with WWE. He’s made several surprise appearance at WWE events in his hometown of Nashville. Late last year he got involved in a match between Randy Orton and Dominik Mysterio by pushing Mysterio and JD McDonagh after they confronted him at ringside. “I just felt like I was backing my boy,” Jelly Roll said.
