The Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival is set to take place in California between April 15 and 17 and again on April 22 to 24. One of the featured acts will be composer and songwriter, Danny Elfman, known for his work in ’80s new wave band Oingo Boingo as well as his many film compositions including “Batman,” “Edward Scissorhands,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” “Spider-Man,” “Spider-Man 2” and “The Simpsons,” among others. Elfman announced his band for the show, which includes Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland. “Déjà Vu! Big time!” said Elfman. “I can’t believe it’s been two years since we rehearsed for Coachella, but I couldn’t be more excited to perform with this amazing group of musicians. Between then and now I went and made a ‘Big Mess’, but it’s all coming together nicely, the way it was meant to be. Excited to announce the Elfband lineup for Coachella: Josh Freese on drums, Stu Brooks on bass, Nili Brosh and Wes Borland on guitars. Boingo, Batman, Big Mess and Beyond, here we go, look forward to seeing you all there!”

Borland echoed Elfman’s excitement in an Instagram post: “I’m so thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing in @dannyelfman’s band at both weekends of Coachella along with @stubassiebrooks @nilibrosh and my favorite comedian @joshfreese!!! Thanks to @robinfinck for recommending me as he was unable to play due to @nineinchnails commitments! This is an absolute honor and dream come true! See you at @coachella!!”

Elfman released his second solo studio album, “Big Mess” in June of 2021. The album comprises two “heavily contrasting” halves and ends with a reworking of the Oingo Boingo song “Insects”, from the 1982 album “Nothing to Fear.” It also features production and vocals from Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor on the song, “True.” Limp Bizkit is gearing up to hit the road for their “Still Sucks” tour.
