During last month’s WWE Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, Billboard was on hand as superstars arrived to the red carpet asking them which band or musician they would want to re-do their entrance music. Bron Breakker was asked, and he told the site “Limp Bizkit.”
The nu metal legends have some history with the WWE having let The Undertaker use their hit “Rollin’” during his “American Badass” era. Fred Durst also once flipped off the camera while attending Summerslam back in 2012.
A parody Instagram account reported that WWE had asked the band to do a theme for Breakker, and while the post wasn’t meant to be taken seriously, it gained a lot of traction among fans who didn’t know it was a joke. “Here’s the Thing (@heresthething_12)” wrote: “WWE has officially announced that Limp Bizkit will be producing a new entrance theme for Bron Breakker. The track is expected to debut next week and is described as a return to the nu-metal style that defined WWE’s sound in the early 2000s.”
The playful post, however, which was based on Breakker’s initial response, might actually lead to it all coming to fruition. Durst commented on the parody saying: “Word has spread and the rumor has me ready to make it a reality – LET F’N MAKE’M BOUNCE @wwe.”
