Legendary Luchadora Passes Away At 52

In sad news, lucha libre historian @RoyLucier has reported that Janet Fragoso Alonso, known professionally as Miss Janeth, has passed away at the age of 52. As of writing, no official cause of death has been confirmed, although it is known her health had declined severely in recent years. She is survived by her elder sister, fellow luchadora Zuleyma, who helped train her.

Miss Janeth debuted in 1990 and, after working for CMLL, went on to become a prominent wrestler in AAA, winning the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship and the Reina de Reinas tournament in 2006. She would also notably work for WWA and in Japan over the years. And while her career slowed down in recent years, she did work a six-woman tag match in October 2025.
