The Hardys made history at Slammiversary when they won the TNA World Tag Team Championships in a four-way ladder match. However, the big talking point after the bout wasn’t the brothers rolling back the years, but the fact that Bully Ray would confront them afterward to set up him and D-Von vs. The Hardys at Bound for Glory for “one last match.”
When news broke almost three years ago that D-Von Dudley had undergone spinal surgery, most assumed his in-ring career was over, and any chance of a Dudley Boyz/Team 3D reunion was officially over. Still, stepping away from the ring can be difficult, and after seven years apart, the duo successfully reunited for a short match during Impact Wrestling’s 1000 event in 2023. And while a full-time run seems unlikely, it would certainly be appropriate if their official swansong were against their long-term WWE rivals.
