Earlier this year, it was reported that Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s WWE contracts were expiring, and no extension had been offered. Subsequently, it came out that their deals were actually up as soon as this upcoming weekend, and given how Kross lost to Sami Zayn at SummerSlam, some believed the duo would be departing the company.
And while that could still be the case, Dave Meltzer has now stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that the company has made Kross an offer. Regarding Scarlett’s contract situation, that wasn’t confirmed, although considering they work as a double-act and are married to each other, it seems doubtful WWE would only offer one a contract.
The fact WWE has allowed both talents to get this close to expiry seems odd, but it could be a negotiation tactic, with WWE offering a take it or leave it deal. However, as WWE has promoted Kross’ book recently and Paul Heyman put over the former TNA wrestler, while being interviewed by Ariel Helwani on Wednesday, the signs do all point to both staying.
