KISS is heading towards the end of their “End Of The Road” world tour which wraps up with a pair of Madison Square Garden gigs on Dec. 1 and 2.

Earlier this week the band announced a “New York Takeover” which will feature a pop-up store, KISS-wrapped taxicabs throughout the city, an interactive KISS Google map, complimentary KISS flash tattoos from Inked NYC, a KISS’ game night for a New York Rangers hockey game, and much more.

Unfortunately for Toronto and Ottawa, KISS won’t be taking over this week, not even on stage as the band had to cancel back to back shows due to singer/guitarist Paul Stanley coming down with the flu.

“Toronto And Ottawa … I’ve done everything possible to get onstage and be a part of the incredible 2 1/2 hour celebration we planned but this flu has made it impossible,” Stanley wrote. “I along with Gene, Tommy and Eric couldn’t be more disappointed and send our deepest apologies.”

Since the tour is coming to a close soon, the concerts are not expected to be rescheduled. However, KISS bassist/singer Gene Simmons did say recently that the “KISS experience” would continue.

“KISS will continue,” Simmons said to 519 Magazine. “There’s a KISS museum in Las Vegas at the Rio called KISS World, and oh my goodness, we have KISS cruises, a movie coming out, and we’re working on a cartoon show, a lot of stuff. And of course, all the fun toys and games that will continue.”

“The KISS show will live on in different ways,” he said. “Yes, that’s being planned. It’ll also be four to ten different travelling shows. So, you’ll be able to be in Japan and have Japanese actors, musicians being us, and at the same time you could go to Vegas or New York or London.”
