The last ever KISS concert is scheduled for Dec. 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The band launched their farewell trek in January of 2019, but it was delayed due to the pandemic and has been extended a few times as well due to demand.

KISS frontman Paul Stanley and bassist Gene Simmons have been doing plenty of interviews recently to plug their final shows across the globe, and they’ve inevitably created controversy along the way by dissing original members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss.

“It doesn’t make sense to allow anybody to come in and call shots,” Stanley told Ultimate Classic Rock when asked about the possibility of guest spots by Frehley and Criss. “We are in great shape. The band is fantastic. I don’t want to mar the celebration. I don’t want to mar the situation. It’s been too good.”

Simmons also said that the band put out the offer, but that the original guitarist and drummer both declined. “Well, I asked both Ace and Peter a few times: ‘Do you wanna come out for the encores? Do you wanna do some shows?’ And they both said ‘no,’” Simmons told Linea Rock.

Whether or not Frehley and Criss end up making an appearance, many KISS fans would love the opportunity to be with the group on their final date. That, of course, isn’t possible beyond the capacity of Madison Square Garden. However, KISS announced on Thursday that their final show will be streamed worldwide live on pay-per-view at PPV.com. The show begins at 8 p.m. EST and will cost viewers $39.99 in the U.S. and Canada and $14.99 outside North America. A teaser for the pay-per-view can be seen below.
