Forever the entrepreneur, KISS bassist Gene Simmons has marketed the band in just about every avenue possible. He’s now offering a special fan package where you can record a KISS song with him at the historic studio home of The Beatles, Abbey Road.

Each participant will also receive a curated collection of personally-owned Gene Simmons items picked by the bassist himself.

“Spend the day at Abbey Road Studios with Gene,” reads the website where fans can purchase the experience. “The same studio where the legendary Beatles recorded their albums. You will hear Gene share stories about his career and items in his personal KISS collection that spans 50 years — and he’s passing them on to you!”’

“The day is about having fun with Gene Simmons and going home having a copy of you and Gene Simmons on a recorded KISS song!” the site adds. “You will take home items from Gene’s personal KISS collection! You will get photos and videos with Gene and he’ll sign two of your personal items!”

Recording with Gene won’t come cheap, however, as a spot costs nearly $6,000 ($5,995).

Rumor also has it that KISS is expected to announce the final date of their “End of the Road World Tour” on an upcoming appearance on The Howard Stern Show.

Simmons was also recently asked to weigh in on Rolling Stone’s “200 Greatest Singers” list. The controversial list left off numerous hard rock and heavy metal luminaries.

“Well, it’s skewed,” Simmons said. “You have to consider who’s popular and who’s not. But if you really think about it, how good somebody sings may be part and parcel of what they do. For instance, if Jimi Hendrix, who had a long — well, actually a short career, but he was very famous, would he make it on ‘American Idol’? How about Bob Dylan… And I wrote songs with Bob Dylan; I know the guy. Would he make it on ‘American Idol’?”

“How well you sing is not the most important thing. It’s, do you have style? Do you have a fingerprint that says, ‘I know that voice immediately’?”
