In response to Anheuser-Busch enlisting trans activist and influencer Dylan Mulvaney to be a Bud Light brand influencer, Kid Rock released a video of himself shooting up cases of Bud Light.
Mulvaney, a TikTok star, has more than 10 million followers. Earlier this year, Mulvaney posted a video advertising Anhueser-Busch’s March Madness contest which offered customers a chance to win $15,000.
Numerous conservatives shared their opposition of the partnership including Kid Rock, who posted the viral clip of himself using a semi-automatic weapon to blast several cases of Bud Light on top of a table by a river.
“Grandpa is feeling a little frisky today,” Kid Rock said in the video. “Let me tell you as clear and concise as possible.” He then raised his middle finger and shouted: “F*ck Bud Light and f*ck Anheuser-Busch,” before shooting up the beer.
It doesn’t appear that Kid Rock is still holding the same grudge against Anheuser-Busch, however, as TMZ obtained video of the rocker/rapper drinking a Bud Light.
TMZ reported: “That’s right, the same guy who exclaimed, ‘F*ck Bud Light and f*ck Anheuser-Busch’ a few months ago was at Skydeck in Nashville Thursday night [where] … he clutched the blue can, taking sips while chatting and laughing.”
Taste of Country also reported: “Kid Rock — real name Robert Ritchie — was at Skydeck in Nashville on Thursday evening to watch Colt Ford perform, according to the celebrity news site. Audience footage from the evening that TMZ obtained shows Kid Rock standing by the rail on the second level of the venue, taking in the performance while clearly holding a can of Bud Light in his right hand, sipping from it at intervals.”
Maybe Bud Light was Kid Rock’s only option for beer, but it still raises questions of whether he truly dislikes Anheuser-Busch or if his blasting Bud Light cans was more of a publicity stunt or an attempt to connect with his conservative following.
