Kevin Nash Shares The Heartbreaking Real Reason He Won’t Be At Sting’s Retirement Match

During a recent episode of his podcast, Kevin Nash made it sound like he couldn’t attend Sting’s retirement match due to WWE not permitting him to, and subsequently, the company received a great deal of backlash on social media. However, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer has now clarified what he meant during his podcast’s latest episode, first explaining he can’t be seen as an AEW guy because he is friends with Triple H and then sadly revealing he doesn’t want to be around others people, calling himself a “hermit.”

“What I said is I’m a WWE guy. I can’t have a picture of me in the crowd, and underneath it says, ‘Is All Elite.’ I just can’t have that. It just doesn’t work. One of my closest fu*king friends is Paul Levesque.

As much as I love Steve and I know he will only have one last match, I will watch it. We will talk about it. I haven’t been to a WrestleMania, a Raw, a SmackDown, or any of the other pay-per-views. I haven’t been to any events. I don’t want to go to any place and be around a bunch of people, let alone wrestling people. I just don’t want to do it. I’m a hermit, and that’s it.”

It’s been well-known Nash has become more withdrawn since the tragic passing of his son Tristen, who died from a heart attack following a seizure that was triggered by alcohol withdrawal syndrome in 2022. Additionally, he lost his longtime best friend, Scott Hall, earlier the same year due to a blot clot being dislodged during surgery, causing three heart attacks. Given this, it is understandable why Nash would want space, and the fact he is prepared to open up with his listeners shows his inner strength.
