Last week, on his popular Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash complained that WWE failed to offer catering at the Hall of Fame ceremony, leaving him very disgruntled. And now, during the next fiery episode, Nash unleashed serious accusations of elder abuse against the company. The 66-year-old legend shared a new version, stating that a last-minute schedule change left him without food for hours, despite prior assurances from talent relations that his need to eat every 3 to 4 hours would be accommodated. Nash described the treatment as deeply disrespectful and dehumanizing, comparing WWE’s handling of its veterans to cattle.
“People still don’t understand that, you know, I got up at 8:00. I had a protein drink with some carbohydrates. I grabbed a Muscle Milk before I got to my table. I drank that. Two hours later, I looked down, and they pushed up my ride from 3:45 to 3:00. I specifically talked to someone in talent relations, saying that by cutting this 45 minutes, you’re not allowing me time to eat … They want to f*cking treat you like their prize cattle … The people that don’t understand something as simple as that, that’s human dignity. Like, number one, man, I’ll be 67 years old in July. That’s elder abuse. To starve me like that is elder abuse, man.” – Kevin Nash
Kevin Nash exploded onto the WWF scene in 1993 as Diesel, Shawn Michaels’ towering 6’10” bodyguard. He rapidly rose to superstardom, winning the Intercontinental Title before capturing the WWF Championship in just eight seconds against Bob Backlund, setting up a 358-day reign, the longest of the 1990s. Nash also claimed Tag Team gold with Michaels to complete WWE’s Triple Crown. After memorable feuds with Bret Hart and The Undertaker, he left in 1996 for WCW, which offered him a better contract. Still, once the company went out of business, he later returned for an nWo reunion, and a feud with Triple H.
