When All Elite Wrestling launched, Kenny Omega was positioned as one of the promotion’s most important stars, with many deeming him the “Ace of AEW.” However, things change over time, and while the Canadian remains a critical talent, speaking to NJPW World, he has addressed who currently holds this distinction, naming Hangman Page, and declaring, “It’s all in the heart.”
34-year-old Page, whose real name is Stephen Woltz, initially debuted in 2008 via the indie circuit, garnering high praise from those who witnessed his work. His career would then take a substantial leap when he joined ROH in 2011, as this led to increased exposure in New Japan. Therefore, when Tony Khan decided to launch AEW, Page was one of the first names he signed, which subsequently led to him winning the company’s World Tag Team Championships alongside Kenny Omega as well as two AEW World Championships.
