With WWE 2K20 being such a disaster that required numerous patches to be functional, wrestling fans have been clamoring for a fresh take on wrestling video games. This has opened the door for AEW to bring something innovative to the market, but unfortunately, developing video games isn’t a quick process, and while an officially licensed AEW is coming, we don’t know when. Now in an interview with GameSpot.com, executive vice president of AEW and renowned gamer Kenny Omega shared an update.
While it doesn’t sound like the game is near, fans might have something to tide them over in the meantime. This is because on September 10th AEW applied for trademarks on the names “All Elite Wrestling: Elite General Manager” and “Elite GM” under the category “downloadable computer game software for use on mobile and cellular phones.”
