Nigel McGuinness is currently living his best life, having established himself as one of AEW’s top commentators, and has even managed to return to the ring following a 13-year self-imposed absence. And now, in exciting personal news, McGuinness’ wife has taken to Instagram to announce that they are expecting a baby together, humorously captioning the photo “Our crumpet is toasting…“
49-year-old McGuinness broke into the business in 1999, moving from the UK to the US to pursue his wrestling dream. Within a few years, he began to create buzz online, with his big break coming via ROH in 2003, where he shared a ring with some of the biggest names currently in WWE. Still, his dream to work for the company himself as a performer ended after he failed a physical test due to a bicep injury, and he would instead have to join TNA. At this point, it appeared his career had been unable to live up to the hype, although thanks to AEW, he has been given a second chance to showcase his abilities.
