During this week’s episode of Dynamite, Jon Moxley returned to AEW television and debuted a much darker character, telling interview Tony Schiavone, “This is not your company anymore.” And now X user @VideoDamned has pointed out that the AEW star was channeling the character Hando, played by Russell Crowe in the 1992 movie Romper Stomper.
For those unaware, Romper Stomper is an Australian movie about a racist thug which was shockingly inspired by a true story. To say the movie was controversial at the time would be an understatement, with critics deeming it to be socially irresponsible and potentially dangerous for glamourizing being part of a skinhead gang. Yet despite this, many still consider it a great movie, and it has, therefore, built up a cult following over the past three decades.
