Jim Ross Says He Is Going To “Step Away To Heal”

Jim Ross joined Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness for this week’s debut episode of Collision. Unfortunately, though, following a nasty fall, his performance wasn’t up to what you would expect from such a legendary announcer, with it sounding like he had an issue with his throat. And now he has taken to Twitter to apologize for his performance and says he will “step away to heal,” seemingly indicating he will be taking a break from behind the announcer’s desk.

Ross is a legendary figure in the world of professional wrestling. He began his career in the 1970s and became one of the most respected and recognizable announcers in the industry. Ross spent a significant portion of his career working for WWE, where his iconic voice and insightful commentary elevated countless matches and moments. Known as “Good Ol’ JR,” he became the voice of a generation, calling some of the most memorable matches in wrestling history.
