Life hasn’t been kind to Jim Ross during his later years, as his wife tragically passed away in 2017 following a road accident, and he has since been diagnosed with cancer twice. And now the legendary commentator has sadly revealed on X that he has been attending a rehab facility, having recently broken his right hip, which has left him walking with a cane.
72-year-old Ross is a significant figure in the world of professional wrestling, and while he would spend a substantial portion of his career working for WWE, he has been All Elite since 2019. However, it is known that his contract with Tony Khan’s promotion expired a week ago, and it hasn’t been publicly disclosed whether he has re-signed. Yet, as he mentioned AEW in his update, it appears at least a short time extension has been agreed upon, with it known he really wanted to call Sting’s upcoming retirement match.
