Following an unforeseen WWE run, James Ellsworth looked set for years of success on he indie and convention circuit. However, after he was accused of sending explicit Snapchat messages to an underage girl, his career options became severely limited, with many in the business opting to distance themselves from him. And now, Ellsworth has commented on the situation during an interview with Sportshadow, again proclaiming his innocence and disclosing that the police never questioned him.
40-year-old Ellsworth debuted in 2002 under the name Jimmy Dream, working regularly on the indies. Then, in 2016, his career reached a new level when a squash match with Braun Strowman catapulted him into the spotlight and a storyline with Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles. Later, he would align with Carmella, aiding her Money in the Bank win, although once that storyline was over, WWE would deem him surplus to requirements.
