When Jade Cargill decided to turn down AEW’s contract offer to sign with WWE, it was reported that a significant part of her decision was her desire to break into acting, and she felt that this was more achievable by switching sides. And now, indicating she made the right decision, Deadline has reported she is set to co-star in “True Threat” alongside Jonathan Majors, who is looking to rebuild his career following abuse allegations.

“Cargill is the second actor attached to the film following Majors, whose casting was announced by Deadline in March. Her addition marks a major step forward for the project, which is slated to begin production this fall … Cargill will play Meeka, a key lieutenant in the Apollo Kids and one of the film’s central antagonists.”Deadline

33-year-old Cargill’s wrestling career began in 2019 with a WWE tryout, although despite being offered an opportunity with the company, she decided to learn the business on her own terms. This led her initially to both AR Fox’s and Heath Slater’s wrestling schools before eventually joining the Nightmare Factory, where she trained under QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes. This opened the door for her to become All Elite in 2021, debuting opposite Cody and Brandi Rhodes and being given a Goldberg-esque winning streak.
