NXT Deadline takes place tonight at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut, with NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov vs. Baron Corbin expected to headline. However, it appears everyone on the show could be about to be upstaged, as CM Punk has teased making an appearance on his Instagram Stories by saying, “Missed my flight today. Woke up in Bridgeport. Anything to do here?” He also tagged the official NXT Instagram account in his post, seemingly making it as good as official.
CM Punks shocked wrestling fans when he made his WWE return at Survivor Series two weeks ago and has since appeared on both Raw and SmackDown due to being a free agent. Therefore, this classification has opened the door for him to appear at tonight’s NXT premium live event, which coincidently goes head-to-head with AEW Collision, a show he was the focus of at one time.
