How Much Anthem Would Sell TNA For Revealed

According to journalist Blake Avignon on X.com, Anthem Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of TNA Wrestling, has reportedly set a $30 million floor for a potential sale, with President Len Asper actually eyeing a $40-50 million valuation. The increased asking price stems from TNA’s lucrative new AMC television deal, which includes guaranteed revenue and future option years. Previously, Scott D’Amore offered $10 million to buy the company, but the offer was rejected.

Anthem’s Len Asper has set a $30M floor for a potential sale of @ThisIsTNA, w/ his preferred price in the $40M – $50M range. The premium reflects toxic debt on Anthem’s books that any buyer would be expected to absorb. No deal is imminent, but the number is out there … A buyer isn’t just pricing TNA Wrestling. They’re pricing a television deal they don’t fully control going forward, and Asper’s guaranteed AMC revenue alone gets him most of the way to his floor. Worth the history. In 2024, a group led by Scott D’Amore offered roughly $10M, including assumption of TNA’s debts, valuing the company between $7M and $12M, respectively. Anthem rejected it outright, no counter.– Blake Avignon

From its humble beginnings in 2002 as NWA: Total Nonstop Action, founded by Jeff and Jerry Jarrett, TNA quickly transitioned under Panda Energy’s control, where Dixie Carter rose to prominence. After years of financial struggles, Billy Corgan briefly got involved in 2016 before Canadian media giant Anthem Sports & Entertainment acquired majority ownership in 2017. Under Anthem’s leadership, the promotion rebranded as Impact, briefly merged with GFW, and returned to the TNA name in 2024, leading to a once unimaginable working relationship with WWE.
