Rapper and pop punk rocker Machine Gun Kelly is a known wrestling fan and has made several appearances over the years with the WWE. Now, he’s joined the hype train for the WWE 2K22 video game as an official partner by providing his music for and shaping the game’s soundtrack. He will also be a playable character in the game. “Machine Gun Kelly has been an integral part of the WWE family for more than a decade including performances at WrestleMania and Tribute to the Troops, soundtracking our premium live events with his music, and making frequent storyline appearances on WWE programming over the years,” said Neil Lawi, Senior Vice President and General Manager, WWE Music Group. “He has curated a unique soundtrack for WWE 2K22 that includes not only his own music but a diverse array of artists from The Weeknd to KennyHoopla. The 12-track soundtrack is the perfect complement to this edition’s enhanced gameplay.”

MGK’s playable character will be introduced via downloadable content which will release on an unspecified date following the game’s launch on March 11. Kelly also starred in a trailer with the Undertaker promoting his association with the game.

Here are some of the songs included in the game:
• Machine Gun Kelly – “Concert for Aliens”
• Machine Gun Kelly ft. Yungblud & Bert McCracken – “Body Bag”
• Wu-Tang Clan – “Protect Ya Neck”
• Motorhead – “Iron Fist”
• Poppy – “Say Cheese” (Live NXT version)
• Royal Blood – “Typhoons”
• Bring Me The Horizon – “Happy Song”
• The Weeknd – “Heartless”
• Turnstile – “I Don’t Wanna Be Blind”
• Asking Alexandria – “The Final Episode (Let’s Change the Channel)”
• KennyHoopla – “Hollywood Sucks.”

Recently, MGK feuded with Corey Taylor. The Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman blasted the rapper/rocker after a proposed song collaboration went south. Taylor explained the situation on this year’s ShipRocked cruise in the Q&A portion of his show. “If you don’t know, they asked me to do a tune with him,” Tayor said. “They sent it to me. I didn’t dig it. And I tried to do something with it because of my respect for Travis, because he and I worked together before. They sent me these really weird notes and they wanted me to sing his words. And I just said, ‘I’m not gonna do it.’ And I sent an e-mail. I posted that e-mail. And I didn’t hear back from him. And I thought it was done.”

Taylor also took issue with an MGK interview on Instagram Live. “And he goes off on this f*cking rant about rock stars and comfortable shoes. It sounds as smart as you think it is. … I mean, spit was coming out of his face. And I’m watching it and I’m going, ‘You f*ck. You’ve been here for five minutes, basically, and you’re gonna f*cking run your mouth about bands that have been doing this for 20 f*cking years, like in the mud, in the dirt. They’re gonna wear whatever the f*ck they want.”
